Landscapes
I grew up in the wilderness of West Wales. There was nothing, no major towns and few people. Only the rugged coastline and rolling hills scored to the sound of wind coming in off the Irish Sea. Many people find isolation to feel lonely, but for me it is serene. Being alone on the top of those Welsh hills or rugged cliff tops with my camera was where I was most at peace. In my landscape photography, my goal is to show the sheer scale of the natural world, but also the power of mother nature. Our world can be truly inhospitable and uncaring. The loneliness of our planet can be felt on it’s beaches, shorelines and mountains but we only need to look up to realise how alone we truly are.
